A Life's Dignified End

To Manang Meng, Vicky, Mark, Andrew, Evelyn and Jennie

He laid in dignity with a smile on his face
Leaving a message that he died in God's grace
My heart ached with pain as I reminesce
The rare days we spent in warm togetherness.
I remembered my mother who loved him so much,
Who in her last days longed for his caring touch,
My heart rested in gladness when I realized,
In God's mansion together they're now at peace.
I stood by his casket with tears in my eyes
With thoughts of regret for the passing of days,
Longing for my two brothers to be by my side,
See his mortal remains and bid him goodbye.
My brother Larry, lived a good life
Loved by his five children and a caring wife,
Traveling together in far away places,
Sharing good times in various climes.
They celebrated fifty golden years of marriage,
With intimate family dinner where they all shared
Life experiences and hidden regrets,
With tears and laughter, they bonded in love.
