I'm greatly disappointed with friends
You've loved and trusted and yet they leave
The relationship with no thought of you,
Or your feelings with no pangs of regret.
I'm greatly disappointed to find
The gold that glittered is not mine,
It is cheap imitation of one of a kind,
Better admired in the dark by the blind.
It is quiet a disappontment when you see
Supposed friends who treat you with disdain
Not telling you of what they've done,
Leaving you hoping they'd better off gone.
I feel sad when I hear of friends
Not living up to their word of honor,
Hiding behind a cloak of distance
Displaying their color of arrogance.
Life is about relationships was a refrain
From someone who attracted me as a friend.
I swallowed the line all hook and sinker.
Only to find out that he is just a talker.
